"...they would also like to remind you to come and visit Ontario because it is very nice here and there are lots of montage-y fun and pretty stuff to do and see here." HAHAHA, YES! Go, Arkells! There's no place like this...

The Five Groups at the Top of My List Right Now:

1. BLUE RODEO: Currently, I'm BIG on the ol' B.R. I didn't really start listening to them until this past summer, which is crazy/a major shame. Their newest album is fantastic. PS. Jim Cuddy is a REALLY, REALLY sexy 50-year-old man.

2. WILCO: I'm getting ready for the Wilco show in Hamilton this month. YANKEE HOTEL FOXTROT...C'MON, PEOPLE. And their most recent album is really good too ("I'll Fight" and "One Wing"!!!).

3. WILL CURRIE & THE COUNTRY FRENCH: No, I'm not sucking up. I've been compulsively going to your/their myspace to listen to "Railroad" and "Harbour Master's Daughter" and then going to CBC Radio 3 to listen to "Ontario" ...aaaaand there's a video of "Flowers" out there that I keep going to. SO GOOD! (I SWEAR I'M NOT A STALKER. Honestly.) These songs indicate that the new album is going to be amazing...

4. THE DEEP DARK WOODS: I'm in a folky-country-ish rock phase, and these guys from Saskatchewan are awesome. I randomly played them on my campus radio station and I was so moved by what I heard. Loving them!!

5. THE BEATLES, SPECIFICALLY RUBBER SOUL: Okay, The Beatles are waaaay too obvious, but I don't care. I got the remastered box set thingy for Christmas and since then I've been in a permanent state of happiness. I'm learning Rubber Soul on the guitar in its entirety right now, so I had to put it on this list!

Honourable mentions: MOTHER MOTHER, JAY ARNER
