Stop! BUCKY TIME! – 5. November, 2009

It’s snowing! So you know what that means…Bucky bucky bucky heyyyyy BUCKY!
Yep, you guessed it! The voting for CBC Radio 3’s annual Bucky Awards is fast coming to a close. The Country French are nominated for the award ‘Most Canadian Song’ for Ontario, a tune from the upcoming release ‘Awake, You Sleepers!’
If you’d like to lend your support to us, head on over to radio3.cbc.ca, log in and vote for us! There are lots of other award categories and lots of great songs, bands and people nominated, so be sure to go through each award and pick someone you love.

While you’re there, you can check out our artist page (http://r3.ca/006i). We’ve posted a couple of new tracks from ‘Awake, You Sleepers!’ to wet your whistle in advance of the release. You can listen to Ontario and also the upcoming single, Railroad.

If you happen to be in one of those snowy places tonight, grab your favourite knitted sweater, a cup of cocoa and settle down near the fire (or space heater, or radiator)…

Let's get cosy!

The East Coast! – 20. October, 2009

Today we find ourselves in Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island! Last night we rolled across the Confederation Bridge, which if you did not know, is the world largest bridge. It is 13 km or 8 miles long. Click here for the wikipedia article to learn more. We got to the hotel and then instantly left to meet up with our friends Said the Whale and Hannah Georgas for a 6:30 reservation for lobster dinner!

Steve, Aaron, and Dan ready for seafood!

Today we have the day off in beautiful Charlottetown, so if you live here, you just might see a giant yellow van barrel past you as you try to enjoy a walk in the sun. Tomorrow we play UPEI, then it’s off to Halifax to cause trouble there for a couple days too. Hooray!
